Tuition Philosophy
St. Luke’s Academy for the Arts and Sciences is committed to making a faithful, classical Christian education both excellent and accessible. While we are still in the founding phase and have not finalized tuition amounts, our principles are already clear.
Commitment to Fair, Sustainable Tuition
Honest and transparent: Families should understand what tuition covers and how it is used.
Tied to real costs: We want to pay teachers fairly, maintain an appropriate facility, and provide the books, materials, and experiences that support a robust classical Christian education.
Stable over time: We aim to avoid sudden, steep tuition changes that make planning difficult for families.
Parents are primary; the school is a partner: God has given parents the primary responsibility for their children’s education. Our role is to come alongside families and local churches, offering a faithful, rigorous high school environment that supports what is taught at home and in worship.
High expectations honor students: We believe young people rise to meet meaningful challenges. By setting clear, high standards for behavior, effort, and academic work—and by providing strong support—we call students to maturity.
We believe tuition should be:
In practice, this means:
We will publish tuition and fees as clearly as possible, with no hidden charges.
We will budget carefully so that the school can be healthy and long‑lasting, not dependent on unrealistic tuition or unsustainable discounts.
We will seek to keep our costs in line with other serious ACCS‑style classical Christian schools in our region, while remembering that families are making real sacrifices.
Intent to Offer Aid and Discounts
Offer some form of financial aid as resources permit.
Consider multi‑child discounts or similar structures that recognize the realities of larger families.
Give special consideration to founding families who take the risk and make sacrifices to join us in the early years.
We recognize that many Christian families who desire this kind of education are not in a position to pay the full cost without help. From the beginning, our intent is to:
As our support base and donor community grow, we hope to:
Increase the percentage of students receiving some aid.
Build a more formal scholarship fund for need‑based assistance.
Details about aid and discounts (eligibility, application process, deadlines) will be posted as they are established. Our guiding posture is that finances should not be the only deciding factor for a family that is strongly aligned with our mission and way of life.
How Donations Support Accessibility
Donations to St. Luke’s Academy are a crucial part of making this education accessible to more families. Every gift helps us:
Reduce Pressure on Tuition: When a greater share of our budget is covered by generous supporters, we can set tuition at a level that is more attainable for ordinary families.
Fund Scholarships and Financial Aid: Designated gifts can go directly into scholarship or assistance funds, helping families who could not otherwise enroll.
Provide Excellent Resources Without Raising Tuition: Donations can help cover:
-Start‑up costs (curriculum, library, lab and arts equipment)
-Facility improvements
-Special programs (retreats, guest speakers, concerts, etc.)
